Leighton Charles Fitz

Leighton Charles Fitz, 25, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at his home. A Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Linn's Funeral Chapel, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa, with a short Memorial service at the close of visitation. Private family inurnment will be at the Hampton City Cemetery, Hampton, Iowa, at a later date. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Leighton Charles Fitz was born July 15, 1988 at Rodgers, Arkansas, the son of Charles Ralph Fitz and Julie Buffalohead Rhoten Fitz. He attended the Cal Community Schools in Latimer, Iowa. He was employed as a security guard for American Security and Investigation, Iowa Falls.

Leighton Charles Fitz is survived by his father: Charles [Becky] Fitz of Iowa Falls, Iowa, his children: Hayden and Leighla Fitz of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Dahlia Gross-Williams of Goldfield, Iowa, Connor and Malrielle Fitz of Iowa Falls, Iowa; two brothers: Brad Mayland of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Levi Fitz of Iowa Falls, Iowa; a sister: Jericho [Larry] Hudson of Ponca City, Oklahoma; his grandparents: Jeanette Fitz of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Walbert and Gloria Mayland of Britt, Iowa; and aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Melvin Fitz.
