Paul "David" Row

David Row, 78, of Ackley, Iowa passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls, Iowa. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday September 10, 2017, at 316 2nd Ave. Ackley, Iowa, 50601. The family asks that you please bring a folding chair. Memorials may be directed to the family of David Row; C/O Linn’s Funeral Home; 1521 Washington Ave; Iowa Falls, IA 50126. 

Paul David Row was born September 24, 1938 to Dallas Charles and Nellie Marguerite [Howard] Row in Eldora, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Eldora High School in 1956. After High School, David proudly served in the United States Army for two years. Later on he attended Marshalltown Community College and graduated with honors. David was married two times before being united in marriage to his wife Paula Jean Lancelle on August 27, 1982, in Eldora. He spent his career working at Dodger’s Manufacturing in Eldora and U.S Manufacturing in New Providence, Iowa, on sewing machines, auto parts, and various other types of machinery. After David retired at 62, he worked part-time at Napa Auto Parts in Ackley, Iowa. His hobbies included camping, fishing, working on cars, being outdoors, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Shortly before his passing, David received a pin and Certificate of Appreciation from Hospice of North Iowa, for serving in the United States Military.

David Row is survived by his loving wife: Paula Row of Ackley, Iowa; four children: Jerry [Teresa] Row of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Kenny [Shelly] Row of Burlington, Iowa, Crystal [Wally] Miller of Burlington, and Kim [Greg] Hawkins of Rockford, Illinois; 16 grandchildren, his sister: Barbara Purdy of Iowa City, Iowa; 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. David Row was preceded in death by his parents: Dallas and Nellie Row; and a son: David Kevin Row.
