Betty Jean Crovisier, 77, was granted her angel wings on April 8th, 2017 when she passed away at the Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard, Iowa. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Betty had touched in some way throughout her memorable life. A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Betty on Saturday April 15th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Owasa, I.A. There will be a luncheon following the service at the Jackson Township Hall in Owasa, I.A. A private memorial service will be held at a later date and Betty’s final resting place will be at the Pine Lawn Memorial Park in Rapid City, S.D. Memorials may be directed to the family of Betty Crovisier in c/o Linn’s Funeral Home; 1521 Washington Avenue Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. Linn’s Funeral Home in Iowa Falls is helping the family with arrangements. 

Betty was born October 4th, 1939 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Leonard and Ethyl (Robb) Rollins. She was raised and attended school in Rapid City where she met and married Robert Ford Sr. in 1956. Robert had been stationed at the Ellsworth Air Force Base. They soon became a military family and relocated to different bases, and there were 4 children born to the marriage. 

In 1970 Betty met and married Dean Crovisier Sr. whom eventually became a highly ranked and decorated Army Sergeant Major. Betty and Dean had 1 son born to the marriage and they resided in Ankeny, Iowa for many years before returning to Rapid City, South Dakota. After the loss of her husband, Betty moved back to Iowa Falls, Iowa in 2012 to be closer to her family.

Betty enjoyed making a variety of ceramics and acrylic painting. She enjoyed traveling and going sightseeing. She had a green thumb for gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers. She loved the outdoors and feeding the birds and just cherished god’s natural beauty and creations. She was a very loving and caring mother. She was also very devoted to her family, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren and they were the light of her life. She truly enjoyed quality time with her family and reminiscing about the good old days.

Betty is survived by her 2 sisters: Lilian (Rollins) and Tom Hislop of Rapid City, S.D. and Eydie (Rollins) and Chuck Northup of Piously, M.N. and 1 brother: Bert and Ursula Rollins of Palm Bay, F.L. as well as 3 of her children: Rhonda Ford of Iowa Falls, I.A., Brenda (Ford) and Anthony Pint of Waterloo, I.A., and Dean Crovisier Jr. of Iowa Falls, I.A. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren: Teisha (Airhart) and Paul Hazelwood of Iowa Falls, I.A., Ben Kitner of Springfield, M.O., Heather (Schwandt) and Kurt Estes of Nevada, I.A., Amy (Schwandt) and Pete Lepley of Eldora, I.A., Ali and John Helton of Ames, I.A., Tonya Miller of Waterloo, I.A., and Jason Miller of Cedar Rapids, I.A. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.

Betty is proceeded in death by her parents, her 2 brothers: Lester Rollins and Butch Rollins, both of her husbands, and 2 of her children: Robert Ford Jr. and Randy Ford/Crovisier.
