Ronald “Ron” Kenneth Meyer, 77, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. Memorial services for Ronald “Ron” Kenneth Meyer will be held 10:30 am, Monday December 5, 2016 at the Bethany Lutheran Church; 2712 Washington Ave; Iowa Falls, Iowa, 50126. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday December 4, 2016 also at the Bethany Lutheran Church. Memorials may be directed to: Bethany Lutheran Church; c/o Linn's Funeral Home; 1521 Washington Ave.; Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. The Linn's Funeral Home is helping the family with arrangements. 

Ronald “Ron” Kenneth Meyer was born March 27, 1939 to Kenneth Louis and Marie [Juel] Meyer in Ackley, Iowa. Ron was baptized at St. John's United Church of Christ in Ackley. He attended and graduated from Ackley High School. Ron proudly served our country in the Army from 1959 to 1963. He was united in marriage to Joan Schmidt on February 25, 1962. Two children were brought into the union of Ron & Joan: Steven and Laurie. Joan preceded him in death. He married Frances “Fran” Lee Braga on January 6, 1979 at Bethany Lutheran Church here in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Ron worked most of his life as a carpenter. He spent some of his free time woodworking, tinkering and playing cards. Ron was a very active and dedicated member at Bethany Lutheran Church.

Those left to cherish Ronald “Ron” Kenneth Meyer are his wife: Frances “Fran” Meyer; his two children: Steven [Toni] Meyer of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Laurie [Paul] Koerselman of George, Iowa; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Kenneth Louis and Marie [Juel] Meyer; his first wife: Joan Schmidt; and his sister: Patricia Flessner.
