Millard "Buck" Junior Buckingham

Millard Junior Buckingham (Buck), 88, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away July 12. 2016 at the Scenic Living Community in Iowa Falls, Iowa.  Buck donated his body to the University of Iowa School of Medicine for their use. Services will be held at a later date. The Linn's Funeral Home in Iowa Falls is helping the family with arrangements.

Millard Junior Buckingham (Buck) was born on December 31, 1927 to Millard Buckingham and Genevieve Larsen in Boone, Iowa.  He attended the Boone Community School District in Boone, Iowa, graduating in 1945.  He married Mavis Marie Schmitt on November 1, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois.  Millard served in the Navy from December 31, 1945 for two years. He was an electrician  with Iowa Electric in Boone. He was always fixing, tinkering, or cooking (and sharing this food with neighbors and friends!). He also belonged to the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) in Iowa Falls.     

Those left to cherish Millard Junior Buckingham are his children: Colin Buckingham of Boone, Iowa, Shannon Buckingham of Omaha, Nebraska, Alex Scott Abbott of Boone, Teri Freeman of Boxholm, Iowa, Julie Feeney and Gidget Hinz of Iowa Falls, Iowa, William 'Bill' Abbott of Ames, Iowa, Jennifer Bennett of Parker, Colorado; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandhildren. Millard Junior Buckingham was preceded in death by his father and mother: Millard and Genevieve Buckingham, and his wife Mavis Buckingham.
