Gladys Irene (Tjarks) Norris

Gladys Irene Norris, 90, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away July 19, 2016 at the Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. The Linn’s Funeral Home in Iowa Falls is helping the family with arrangements. Gladys Irene Norris was born November 8, 1925 to Minn O. and Agnes [Anderson] Tjarks in Alden, Iowa. She attended the Iowa Falls Community School District, completing the 10th grade. She married Douglas Rodgers in 1942, and to this union three children were born: Diana, Connie, and Mary Ann. In 1973, Douglas passed away and in 1975 Gladys married George Norris. He also later passed away in 2006. She was a long time member of First Christian Church. 

Those left to cherish Gladys Irene Norris are her daughter: Mary Ann [George] Dougan of Iowa Falls, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in- law: Kenneth Trittien of Iowa Falls; and a son-in- law: Eddie Bozarth of Norman, Oklahoma. Gladys Irene Norris was preceded in death by her parents: Minn and Agnes Tjarks; both of her husbands: Douglas Rodgers and George Norris; and her sisters: Betty Trittien and Edna Mae Bakker; and a toddler brother: Russel Tjarks; two daughters: Diana Bozarth and Connie Blair.
