William G. "Bill" Lubberts, 78, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the Heritage Care Center, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A memorial service for Bill Lubberts will be 2:00 pm Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa, with Pastor Steve Hill officiating. Bill donated his body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program for research on Parkinson desease. Memorials may be directed to the family c/o his wife: Margaret Lubberts, 2119 Floyd Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
William George Lubberts was born September 1, 1934, at Iowa Falls, Iowa, the son of Albert Lee and Ena Mae [Henning] Lubberts. He graduated Iowa Falls High School with the class of 1952. On June 6, 1964, he was united in marriage to Kathyrn Helene Rose. To this union two daughters were born: Valerie Lynn and Rene Anneatte. Bill was an electrician in California and returned to Iowa Falls after his father passed away to take over the family business: Lubberts Electric Service. Kathryn passed away in 1986 and on July 5, 2009 Bill was united in marriage to Margaret Westgate Weddle.
Bill Lubberts is survived by his daughters: Valerie Stegner of Versailles, Missouri, Rene Moore of Van Buren, Arkansas; his wife: Margaret Lubberts of Iowa Falls; three grandchildren: Cordell Stegner of Versailles, Missouri, Katie Moore and Cheyenne Moore of Van Buren, Arkansas; and a brother: Alan Lubberts of Lomita, California. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ena and Albert Lubberts and his first wife: Kathyrn Lubberts.
