Wayne F. Earnist, 56, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012, at his home. Funeral services for Wayne F. Earnist will be 2:30 pm Monday, November 12, 2012, at the Linn's Funeral Chapel, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A time of visitation will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday, November 12th at Linn's Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established at the Greenbelt Bank and Trust, 616 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. Private family burial will be at a later date. Wayne had requested casual dress (Jeans and shirt).

Wayne Frederick Earnist was born July 2, 1956, at Rudd, Iowa, the son of Gerald Paul Earnist and Margueritte Josephine [Miller] Earnist. He attended the Iowa Falls Community Schools and graduated Ellsworth Community College with an Associate Degree in Masonry and Carpentry. On July 7, 1984 Wayne was united in marriage to Angel Lee Oelmann at Iowa Falls, Iowa. To this union a daughter Whitney was born. Wayne went to work for Boyt Manufacturing, Iowa Falls for many years and then for Dave Rieber Construction, Iowa Falls. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 1331, Iowa Falls. He was also a former Iowa Falls Jaycee and had served in several offices of that organization.

Wayne Earnist is survived by his wife: Angel of Iowa Falls, Iowa; his daughter: Whitney Earnist of Iowa Falls; two grandchildren: Kaylie Jo Earnist and Traer Gavin Earnist both of Iowa Falls; and his siblings: Patricia [Norman "Tex"] Kielsmeier of Rudd, Iowa, Mary [Jerry] Smith of Iowa Falls, Cheryl Hobbs of Mason City, Iowa, Linda [Gene] Kappers of Spring Valley, Minnesota, Teresa Eychaner of Iowa Falls, and Leon [Lisa] Martin of Lehigh Acres, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents: Gerald "Happy Jake" and Margueritte Earnist; two sisters: Charolette Earnist (infant), Lola Wills; and a brother-in-law: Gayle Hobbs.
