Vivolyn Joan (Toomsen) Butler

Vivolyn Joan Butler, 85 of Norwalk and formally of Geneva, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at UnityPoint Health Iowa Methodist in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ 496 Raven Avenue, Geneva, Iowa 50633 Saturday February 20, 2021 visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Linn’s Funeral Home Iowa Falls Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Vivolyn Toomsen was born March 10, 1935, to Cornelius and Lucille (Burkley) Toomsen of Geneva, Iowa. She went to Geneva and Grundy Center schools. Vivolyn was married to Donald Butler on October 13, 1951 and to this union three children were born: Larry, Gary, and Donna. Vivolyn enjoyed crocheting and working in the garden. She was employed by Hiland Potato Chip and retired from Holmes Murphy Insurance in 2015.

Vivolyn is survived by her son: Larry (Mary) Butler and four grandchildren.

Vivolyn was preceded in death by: her parents Cornellus and Lucille Toomsen; a son: Gary Butler; a daughter: Donna Butler: Donald Raymond.
