Tena Luppen, 94, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013, at the Heritage Care Center, Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Tena Luppen will be 10:30 Monday, October 21, 2013, at the First Christian Church, 221 Fischer Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa, with Pastor T. J. Norman officiating. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, October 20th at the Linn's Funeral Home 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. Burial will be at the Northlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa Falls. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Tena Murra was born January 13, 1919, at Ackley, Iowa to Grace [Meyer] and Anton Murra. She attended the school in Ackley, Iowa. On October 12, 1940, Tena was united in marriage to Albert A. Luppen in Iowa Falls, Iowa. To this union five children were born; Gary, Gerald, Joyce, Kevin, and Judy. Tena was employed at Iowa Falls Community Schools cooking and serving lunch at the West Grade School. She later worked for Heritage Care Center as a cook for twenty-two years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa.

Tena is survived by her children Gary [Darlene] Luppen of Cassville, Missouri, Gerald [Sharon] Luppen of Rock Island, Illinois, Joyce Foster of Des Moines, Iowa, Kevin [Sheryl] Luppen of Alden, Iowa, and Judy [Al] Hammarmeister of Iowa Falls, Iowa. fourteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren, fourteen great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Tena was preceded in death by her parents: Grace and Anton Murra, Husband: Albert Luppen in 1978, six brothers and four sisters, one grandson, one great-great grandson.
