Shirley A (Leonard) Weideman

Shirley A. Weideman, 91, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, died on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at home in Platteville, Wisconsin surrounded by family she loved. A time of local Visitation will be 11:00 am to 12:00 noon Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Linn’s Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. Shirley was born on March 29, 1929 at home in Franklin County, Iowa, daughter of Harlan and Minnie (Dickenson) Leonard. She was united in marriage to Harold E. Weideman on February 17, 1948. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1999. She liked sewing, painting ceramics, of which they ran a business for many years. Hostas became her real love when she moved back into Iowa Falls, She had beautiful hosta gardens and held hosta sales for many years. She was a member of the Iowa Falls Garden Club. She had many cats and dogs throughout the years and loved each and every one completely. Shirley loved spending time with her family, especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Mary Weideman, Green Bay, WI and Andrea Custer, Platteville, WI; one son, Doug Weideman, Iowa Falls; six grandchildren, Teri Custer, Travis (Krissy) Custer, Traci (Jamy) Dorota, Crystal (Bill) Colwell, Susan (Terry) Smith and William Weideman; seven great-grandchildren, Colton and Sierra Vivian, Remi and Jace Dorota, Ary and Scarlett Jewell and Brody Smith; one brother, Robert (June) Leonard, Lansing, KS. She was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Weideman and a sister and brother-in-law Jeanine and Glen Pickering.
