Sharon (Sherri) Marie (Wheeler) Clemons

Sherri Clemons (Wheeler) passed away on January 11, 2022. Sherri was born on December 30, 1944 to Herbert and Marie Wheeler (Snyder). She was one of 12 siblings. Sherri graduated high school from Hubbard, Iowa and then was united in marriage to Jerry Clemons in October, 1963. Sherri and Jerry have two children, Vonda Shaffer (spouse Buddy Shaffer) and Patrick Clemons (spouse Keith Ellingson). Sherri was blessed with two granddaughters, Chelsie Ball (Chad Ball) and Erica Stevens and four great-grandchildren – Dallas Ball, Noella Stevens, Jolie Ball and Chance Ball.

Sherri had a successful career in Dietary Services. Her employment included the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, IA, Sheffield Care Center and the Mason City School System.  Sherri retired from Mason City School System in 2007. Sherri loved camping, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sherri is preceded in death by her mother, father, brothers (Herb Wheeler, Ernie Wheeler, Bob Wheeler, Ron Wheeler), sisters (Judy Wheeler, Joanne Engelking). She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and brother (Jim Wheeler), sisters (Lois Crabtree, Bertie (Kay) Callaway, Joyce Stine, Sonja Nurmi).

There will be a Celebration of Life for Sherri on January 15th, 2022 from 1pm-3pm at the First Christian Church 605 Fourth Street NE Hampton, IA 50441.
