Ruth Larson, 80, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Scenic Manor Care Facility, Iowa Falls. Memorial services for Ruth Larson will be 10:30 am Friday, January 30, 2014, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 2712 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A time of visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, January 30th at Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Memorials may be directed in Ruth's name to The Richard and Ruth Larson Scholarship Fund c/o Ellsworth College, 1100 College Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126.

Ruth Buechler was born July 24, 1933, at Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Emil and Nina [Beeli] Buechler. She graduated from the Denby High School, Detroit, Michigan with the class of 1951. She then attended Wayne State University. Ruth served with the United States Army from 1954 to 1957. On September 13, 1957, Ruth was united in marriage to Richard Charles Larson at San Antonio, Texas. To this union two daughters were born: Debora and Sandra. Ruth was a Medical Records Librarian with Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls.

Ruth Larson is survived by her husband: Dick Larson of Iowa Falls, Iowa; her daughters: Sandra Ausenhus of Webster City, Iowa, Debra Larson of Iowa Falls, Iowa; two grandsons: Cameron Ausenhus and Brandon Ausenhus of Webster City, Iowa; two brothers: Paul [Carol] Buechler of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, Earnest [Lorraine] Buechler of Grosse Point, Michigan; a brother-in-law: Robert Larson of Eatontown, New Jersey; and her former son-in-law: Paul Ausenhus of Clear Lake, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents: Emil and Nina Buechler; her sister and brother-in-law: Hilda Gladys and Donald Grudt; a sister-in-law: Grace Larson; and her mother and father-in-law: Gloria and Warner Larson.
