Rose Marie Bahr

Rose Marie Bahr, 80, of Hubbard, Iowa, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at the Zearing Health Care of Zearing, Iowa. A private family service will be held April 28, 2020. After restrictions are lifted due to Covid-19, the family will be holding a public Memorial Service for Rose Bahr. The Linn’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Rose Marie King was born December 24, 1939 to Edward August King and Leah Amelia [Riley] in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Rose attended and graduated from the Iowa Falls High School, class of 1957. On September 4, 1965 she was united in marriage to Richard Bahr, and to this union 5 children were born Mark, Damaris, Sheri, LaRonna, and  Kristin. Rose was a homemaker for many years while raising her family, she then began working as a cook at the Hubbard Care Center and Eldora Regional Medical Center, retiring in 2006.Rose was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church since 1985.

Rose Marie Bahr is survived by a son: Mark (Delana) Bahr of Hubbard, Iowa; four daughters: Damaris (late Michael) Moser of Manson, Iowa Sheri Bachtell (Tim) of Hubbard, Iowa LaRonna Bahr of Jewell, Kristin White of Radcliffe; and one sister: Grace Hornug of Iowa Falls; One stepson: Richard (Bill) Bahr; sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Rose Bahr was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Leah King; her husband Richard Bahr; stepdaughter Cindy Reysack; four brothers and three sisters: Harold King, Lawrence King, Cecil King, Jerry King,June King, Betty Riebkes, and Mae Carlson.
