Ralf Schaup, 83, of Iowa Falls, and formerly of California, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital. Private family services for Ralf Schaup will be held at a later date. The Linn's funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel assisted the family with the arrangements.

Ralf Friedrich Schaup was born January 7, 1930 in Hamburg, Germany, the son of Friedrich and Paulina [Krumrey] Schaup. In 1959 Ralf was united in marriage to Karinheide Becker. To this union two children were born: Nicolette and Bryan. Ralf was self employed as an importer of wholesale merchandise in California and owned Accent Imports. He recently moved to Iowa Falls to be closer to family.

Ralf Schaup is survived by his children: Nicolette [David] Smith of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Bryan [Tara] Schaup of Las Vegas, Nevada; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Friedrich and Paulina Schaup; his wife: Karinheide Schaup; and a sister: Crista Meier.
