Nile "Sonny" Osterman, 73, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Franklin General Hospital under the care of North Iowa Hospice. Memorial services for Nile "Sonny" Osterman will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Linn's Funeral Chapel, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa, with Pastor T. J. Norman officiating. Nile Walter Osterman was born August 31, 1940 at Kilgore, Nebraska, the son of Walter Nile and Doris Lucille [DeLong] Osterman. He graduated Valentine, Nebraska High School. On November 2, 1994, he was united in marriage to Sharon Shoafstall Alverson Bradley at Iowa Falls, Iowa. Nile "Sonny" had worked for County Line Engineering, Casey's General Store, and Boondock's USA.

Nile "Sonny" Osterman is survived by his wife: Sharon Osterman of Iowa Falls, Iowa; his mother: Doris Osterman of Winner, South Dakota; three children: William [Beth Hughes] Osterman of Illinois, Rick [Jody] Osterman of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Patti Bradley [Terry] Monck of Monticello, Iowa; four grandchildren: Trevor, Caleigh, Andrew, and Madison; and one sister: Elaine [Jerry Wright] O'Donnell of North Platte, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his father: Walter N. Osterman.
