Maxine Kollman, 93, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012, at Scenic Manor. A Mass of Christian burial for Maxine Kollman will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 19, 2012, at the St. Mark's Catholic Church, 415 Main Street, Iowa Falls, Iowa, with Father Paul Baldwin officiating. Burial will be at the St. Mark Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family c/o her daughter: Ann LaFontaine, 405 Indiana Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. The Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Maxine Belle Hebert was born August 15, 1919, in Aurora, Kansas, the daughter of Meade and Blanche [Danderand] Hebert. She attended the Aurora Community Schools. On September 6, 1954, Maxine was united in marriage to Fredrick William Kollman at Charles City, Iowa. To this union two children were born: James and Ann. She was a homemaker most of her life but had worked as a clerk before marriage and after marriage she had worked for the Arling Hotel (where she met her future husband who worked for the Illinois Central Railroad); "The Depot" in Iowa Falls and the Iowa Falls Community Schools. She also babysat for many Iowa Falls Children in her home. She was a member of the Saint Mark's Catholic Church, Iowa Falls.

Maxine Kollman is survived by her children: James [Deborah] Kollman of Denison, Iowa, Ann La Fontaine of Iowa Falls, Iowa; five grandchildren: Elizabeth [Gary] McIntire of Iowa City, Iowa, Nate [Pam] Judson of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Andy La Fontaine of Iowa Falls, Mick [Fiancé© Amber Dvorak] La Fontaine of Altoona, Iowa, Alex [Sami Sutterberg] La Fontaine of Iowa Falls; a sister: Clara Hebert of St. Paul, Minnesota; a brother: James [Ellie] Hebert of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and sisters-in-law: Mary Ann, Cleo, Gloria, and Madeline. She was preceded in death by her parents: Meade and Blanche Hebert; her husband: Fred Kollman; five brothers: Armond, Eddie, Duane, Marvin, Ferial; and a sister: Bernadine.
