Mary Jane Kepler, 100, of Cedar Falls, Iowa and formerly of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls. A memorial service for Mary Jane Kepler will be 10:00 am Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Linn's Funeral Home Iowa Falls Chapel, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery 555 17th Street, Webster City, Iowa 50595. Mary Jane Higbee was born July 12, 1924, to Herbert George and Julia Ann (Frank) Higbee in Webster City, Iowa. She graduated from Webster City High School with the class of 1942. Mary attended Webster City Junior College. On November 21, 1943 Mary was united in marriage to Arild V. Kepler in Fresno, California. Mary worked as a telephone operator, a waitress at The Red Rooster Grill, and she was a clerk at The Wagon Wheel gift shop in Iowa Falls. When Mary and Kep relocated to Las Vegas, Mary worked at The Frontier, The Desert Inn, The Saharan and The Wynn. Mary met numerous legendary performers during her Las Vegas days. Mary was a member of the Catholic Church, Church Circle, P.E.O., Hospital Auxiliary, and Questers.

Mary is survived by her children: Cindy Leitner of Iowa Falls, Iowa; and David Kepler of Cedar Falls, Iowa, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Arlid Kepler; daughters: Julie Richey and Kathleen Harrington; granddaughter: Jackie Richey; sons in-law: Timothy Leitner, Dennis Richey, Timothy Harrington; brother: Robert Higbee.
