Laura Ann (McClain) Bell

Laura Ann McClain Kennedy Bell passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at Mary Greely Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. The family will have a private graveside service at a later date. The Linn’s Funeral Home Iowa Falls Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Laura Ann McClain was born to Meredith Ramsdal and Marguerite Beatrice (Hansen) McClain in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Laura graduated from Rosevelt High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from University of South Florida with a Bachelors degree. On June 17, 1997, Laura was united in marriage to Robert Wayne Bell. Laura worked at St. Petersburg Times’s and later worked in sales for WTTA television station in Florida. She was a member of the Eckankar Church. Laura spent all of her spare time writing and has had 6 books published.

Laura is survived by her husband: Robert Bell; her children; Lisa Martin Kennedy of St. Petersburg, Florida; Traci (Charles) Ross of St. Petersburg, Florida; Sean Kennedy of St. Petersburg, Florida; Jennifer Kennedy of St. Petersburg, Florida; two granddaughters; Lauren (Ryan) Barry of St. Petersburg, Florida and Lilly Kennedy of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents Meredith and Marguerite McClain; and one brother; Meredith (Mick) McClain.
