Kendra Jean Keninger Sones, 55, of Mason City,  formerly of Carlisle and Ackley, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at North Iowa Hospice in Mason City, Iowa a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Kendra Keninger was born in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Paul Alfred and Delores Jean (Meinders) Keninger on January 9, 1965. Kendra graduated from the Ackley Geneva High School with the class of 1983. She also attended Buena Vista University. Kendra had two daughters Hannah and Haley. Kendra worked as a buyer at Younkers and most recently worked for Wells Fargo. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ackley. Kendra enjoyed singing and was very musically inclined. She loved her pugs. Kendra is survived by her two daughters: Hannah Sones of Harcourt, Iowa; Haley Sones of Ames, Iowa;  a brother Jeff (Diane) Keninger of Ackley, Iowa; Kendra Sones was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Delores Keninger, a brother Gary Keninger.
