Kathryn Louise Hanson, 90, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away January 16, 2020 at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Kathryn Hanson will be 2:00 pm, January 21, 2020 at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls. There will be a time of visitation from 1:00 until 2:00 pm, January 21, 2020, also at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel; 1521 Washington Ave.; Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. Kathryn Louise Rieks was born March 10, 1929 in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Arthur Albert and Clestia Frances [Burninghousen] Rieks. She attended and graduated the Iowa Falls School District. On March 11, 1951 she was united in marriage to Alfred Nels Hanson, and to this union one child was born: Gary Lee Hanson. During her life, her favorite pastimes included: quilting and raising Sheltie dogs. She also loved to grow Iris flowers all around her homestead.

Kathryn Louise Rieks is survived by her husband: Alfred Hanson of Iowa Falls, Iowa; a son: Gary [Linda] Hanson of Ackley, Iowa; two grandchildren: Jessica [Dan] Coffey and Kate [Cody] Flowers; and four great-grandchildren: Brayden, Olivia, Elizabeth, and Noah; a brother: Merle [Janice] Rieks of Iowa Falls.
