Karen Elizabeth (Edler) Shogren

Karen Shogren, 71, of Iowa Falls passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Select Specialty Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa.  Funeral Services for Karen Shogren will be 1 PM Tuesday, October 5th, 2021, at the Linn’s Funeral Home, 1521 Washinton Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa, 50126.  Visitation will be the day of the funeral from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Linn's Funeral Home.  Memorials may be directed to the family in care of Karen Shogren Memorial C/O Linn's Funeral Home 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126.   

Karen Elizabeth Edler was born April 26, 1950, at Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of Lester Walter Edler and Virginia Darlene (Wyatt) Stanfield. She attended the Fairfield Community Schools.  In August of 1970, she was united in marriage to Johnnie D. Hall, and to this union two children were born: Kathy and Johnnie.  On November 17, 1979, Karen was united in marriage to Dale LeRoy Shogren and to this union two more children were born: Kevin and Justin.

Karen’s greatest love was her family, whether it was holiday dinners, her grandkids birthdays, or putting up the family Christmas tree.  She enjoyed traveling the country in the semi with her husband.  She really enjoyed Elvis Presley, the color purple, Hallmark movies, playing Yahtzee, and coloring with her grandchildren.

Karen Shogren is survived by her children: Kathy (David) Rockhold, John (Shelia) Hall, Kevin (Tami) Hall, and Justin Shogren, all of Iowa Falls,13 grandchilren, 12 great grandchilren, her siblings: Robert Stanfield of Des Moines, Iowa, David (Patty) Davisson of Papillion, Nebraska, and Kevin (Dawn) Edler of Wheatland, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents,  her husband: Dale Shogren, a sister: Cheryl Bohall, a brother: Lester Edler, and a grandson: Shelbie.
