Joyce Marie Peterson, 64, of Iowa Falls, and formerly of Des Moines, passed away February 16, 2016 at the Hubbard Care Center.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 20, 2016, at the Linns Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls, Iowa; following the funeral service there will be a time of fellowship and refreshments with the family.  A time of visitation and remembering will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2016, also at the Linn's Funeral Home.  A private burial will take place at a later date. Joyce Brannick was born on February 4, 1952 to William and Evelyn [Knott] Brannick in Iowa Falls, Iowa.  She married Edward Peterson on February 19, 1969.  During this marriage two children were born, Christina and Curt Peterson.  She attended the Iowa Falls School District until grade 10 in 1969. Joyce was an active partner with her husband Ed when they owned their sanitation business in Jefferson, Iowa.  Joyce was later employed at the Des Moines VA Hospital as a Medical Supply Tech for 20 Years. Joyce’s two passions were croqueting and attending classic car shows with her husband and the members of their car club.  Joyce’s favorite classic car was her 1949 Blue Jeepster.  The biggest highlight was when she met “Fonzie” Henry Winkler, and received from him a “BIG HUG.”

Joyce is survived by her husband Ed Peterson, of Iowa Falls; her mother: Evelyn Brannick; her daughter: Christina [Sal] Davila of Alta, Iowa, her son Curt [Jen] Peterson,  of Boone, Iowa; 7 grandchildren; two sisters: Genia [Larry] Schlachter of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Vicky [Randy] Bonin of Iowa Falls, Iowa; and four brothers: Gene, Billie, Kevin, and Donnie Brannick. She was preceded in death by her grandmother: Arlene Knott, her father: William Brannick, and brother: Shawn Brannick.
