Jennie Oelmann was born February 12, 1932, the daughter of Fred and Stientje (Dannen) Oelmannn at her parents home in Franklin County Iowa. She attended country schools in Franklin and Hardin County Iowa. On September 12, 1953, she was united in marriage to John C. Risius at the Christian Reformed Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Jennie was employed for over 30 years at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing puzzle books and collected “alot” of salt and pepper shakers.

Jennie Risius is survived by 2 daughters: Catherine “Cathy” Pehling of Riceville, Iowa and Jolene (Dave) Rosauer of Sac City, Iowa. 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 1 brother: Raymond (Donna) Oelmann of Beaman, Iowa, 2 sisters: Thelma “Tootie” (Roger) Yakel of Iowa Falls and Martha Heiden of Amery, Wisconsin. She was preceeded in death by her parents Fred and Stientje Oelmann, her husband John Risius,a daughter: Linda Risius, son-in-law Allan Pehling, and her siblings George Oelmann, Else Oelmann, Florence Slagle, Mattie Kolthoff, Edward Oelmann, Freddie Oelmann, Henry Oelmann, Harvey Oelmann, and Robert Oelmann.
