Isabelle Ketchum Obituary
Isabelle Ketchum 88, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at her home. Memorial services for Isabelle Ketchum will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, 619 Main Street, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A time of visitation will be from 10:00 am Saturday until service time also at the First United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be at a later date in Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Isabelle Ruth Bailey was born December 27, 1924, at her parent's home in Franklin County, Iowa, the daughter of Fern Agnes [Dougan] and Lloyd Raymond Bailey. She attended country school and graduated from the Alden, Iowa Community Schools with the class of 1942. On January 28, 1945 Isabelle was united in marriage to Richard Clayne Ketchum at Iowa Falls, Iowa. To this union three sons were born: Roger, Dallas, and Mark. Richard and Isabelle lived in Forest City, Clarion, Alden, and Iowa Falls, Iowa. Isabelle had worked at the Citizens State Bank and Iowa Falls State Bank in Iowa Falls, the Clarion Clinic and Clarion High School, and the Pioneer Saving and Loan in Forrest City, Iowa. She was a member of the Iowa Falls American Legion Auxiliary of Post #188, Iowa Falls.
Isabelle Ketchum is survived by her husband: Richard Ketchum of Iowa Falls; her three sons: Roger [Judy] Ketchum of Grimes, Iowa, Dallas [Peggy] Ketchum of Owatonna, Minnesota, Mark [Alana] Ketchum of Eagle Grove, Iowa; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister: Mary Rose [Bert] Brown of Iowa Falls, Iowa; and a sister-in-law: Dahl Bailey of Rochester, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lloyd and Fern Bailey and one brother: Harold Bailey.
