Harley David Sevde, 75, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away March 31, 2020 at his home in Iowa Falls. After restrictions are lifted due to Covid-19, the family will be holding a public memorial services for Harley. The Linn’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Harley David Sevde was born July 14, 1944 in Story City, Iowa to Luther Adolph and Martha Marie [Tynning] Sevde. He attended the Story City Community Schools District for grade school, but moved and graduated from the Iowa Falls Community Schools District in 1962. After high school he attended the Ellsworth Community College. In his younger years Harley worked at the Holiday Erickson Gas Station, and the Junction Gas Station. During the 1960’s he joined the Army National Guard. Later on in life he worked at Winnebago Industries in Hampton, Iowa, where he worked in the fabrication department, mostly working with fiberglass. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Iowa Falls, along with working and bowling out at Pla-Mor Bowl. He enjoyed flowers, and spending time with family and friends. When Harley had free time, he would go to auctions and flea markets for something fun to do.
Harley David Sevde is survived by his brother and sister: Gary [Cindy] Sevde of Atkins, Iowa and Linda Fank of Iowa Falls, Iowa; two nieces: Brenda Owen [and son Albert] of Republic, Missouri, and Rebecca [Aaron] Bunce of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two nephews: Brian Fank of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Matt [Dori] Sevde of Dubuque, Iowa. Harley Sevde was preceded in death by his parents: Luther “Adolph” and Martha Sevde.
