Eva (Rasmussen) Crippen

Eva Crippen, 87, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. Memorial services for Eva Crippen will be 10:30 am Saturday, January 7, 2017 at The Linn's Funeral Home Chapel, 1521 Washington Ave, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. Eva Rasmussen was born December 31, 1929 to Peter and Johanna [Petersen] Rasmussen on her parents farm in Franklin County, Iowa. She went to school in rural Hampton, Iowa. Eva married Paul Edward Brass June 17, 1950 in Webster City, Iowa. To this union five children were born: Sharon, Betsy, Jack, Cindy and David. They later divorced. She married Harold Dale Crippen August 21, 1964 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. To this union one son was born: Roger. Eva worked several jobs throughout her life including: a homemaker health aide, a waitress at Princess Cafe, the pantry, the Iowa Falls Taxi, and as a work area supervisor at Access Incorporated before retiring in 2002. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, camping, fishing, reading, puzzles, crafting, gardening, bird watching, and spending time with family. 

Those left to cherish Eva Crippen are her children: Sharon (Dennis) Stanton of Des Moines, Iowa, Betsy Brass of Tucson, Arizona, Jack (Glenda) Brass of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Cindy Cook of Iowa Falls, and Roger Crippen of Fort Dodge, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Eva Crippen was preceded in death by her parents: Peter and Johanna Rasmussen; her husband: Harold Crippen, a son: David Brass, and nine siblings.
