Edith June Reimes was born June 17, 1932 at her parents’ home in Hoard Community, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Harvey John and Ruby May [Wolfert] Reimes. She went on to Iowa State College (ISC) (now known as Iowa State University) where she graduated in 1954 with her degree in Home Economics Education.
