Doris Ann Gifford, 89, of Clive, Iowa and formally of Iowa Falls passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024. Funeral service for Doris Gifford will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Linn’s Funeral Home Iowa Falls Chapel, Visitation will be one hour before the service. Doris Ann Smith was born August 1, 1934 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Arthur Henry and Elnora Ann (Kaufman) Smith. She attended the Marshalltown schools graduating Class of 1952. She attended the Marshalltown Community College earning a certificate in horticulture. On October 14, 1961 she was united in marriage to Vernon Lea Gifford and to this union two children were born Vern and Tina. Doris was a home maker and worked at the middle school in the lunch serving lunch.Doris loved growing flowers and watching birds and belonged to Garden Clubs in different towns that they lived in. She and Vern liked to travel an made it to all 50 states. When they went to Alaska they were enjoying the scenery and a bear came running and ran into the side of their van. 

Doris is survived by her husband: Vernon Lea Gifford Sr.; a son: Vernon (Pam) Gifford Jr. of Dows; Christina (Mike) Monell of Sioux City, two grandsons: Brad (Anita) McKinney of Remsen and Marc (Shannon) McKinney of Hartford; six great-grandchildren Thomas, Cooper, Hadlee, Aric, Orin, and Bruce; one brother: William (Mayme) Smith of Plano, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a son - in-law Tom McKinney.
