Dennis Trauger, 64, of Owasa, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at the Israel Family Hospice House, Ames, Iowa. A memorial service for Dennis Trauger will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the United Methodist Church, Owasa, Iowa. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday evening, November 22nd at the Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. 641-648-2569. Inurnment will be at the Berlin, Jackson Township Cemetery, Owasa. Memorials to the family may be sent c/o of his wife: Jill Trauger, 316 Co. Hw. S-45, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126.
Dennis K. Trauger was born March 27, 1949, at Mandan, North Dakota, the son of Kenneth and Zella [Harful] Trauger. He graduated from the Bismarck, North Dakota High School with the class of 1967. He then attended North Dakota State University. On December 14, 1970, Dennis was united in marriage to Jill E. Nehring at Conroe, Texas. To this union two children were born: Bridgette and Beau. Dennis drove Semi for Christiansen Farms for many years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Owasa, Iowa; the Meadow Hills Golf Club, Iowa Falls, Iowa; and did volunteer work for crippled children charities.
Dennis Trauger is survived by his wife: Jill Trauger of Owasa, Iowa; his daughter: Bridgette [Darrin] Ivers of Brandon, South Dakota; his son: Beau [JoAnna] Trauger of Greer South Carolina; his grandchildren: Mackenzie and Tate Ivers; and Cooper and Kelly Trauger; and his mother: Zella Zahn of Bismarck, North Dakota; and a sister: Denice Trauger of Beulah, North Dakota. He was preceded in death by his father: Kenneth Trauger; and his step-father: Bernnie Zahn.
