Darrell Gene Etnyre Obituary

Darrell Etnyre, 64, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013, at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls. Memorial services for Darrell Etnyre will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 14th at Bethany Lutheran Church, 2712 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A time of visitation and fellowship will follow the services at the church. In Lieu of flowers, the family request memorials in Darrell's name be sent to 303 Hawthorne Road, Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Darrell Gene Etnyre was born January 3, 1949, at Savanna, Illinois, the son of Howard and Clara [Daehler] Etnyre. He graduated Chadwick High School with the Class of 1967. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Plattville, Wisconsin with a Bachelors Degree and the University of Illinois with a Masters Degree. On July 6, 1974 Darrell was united in marriage to Cynthia Jane Dittmar at Milledgeville, Illinois. Darrell was employed as a swine specialist with Iowa Select Farms, Iowa Falls. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Iowa Falls.

Darrell Etnyre is survived by his wife: Cindy Etnyre of Iowa Falls; their children: Jason [Lisa] Etnyre of Algona, Iowa, Justin [Amy] Etnyre of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Matthew Etnyre of Beverly Hills, California; seven grandchildren; a sister: Wilma [Verne] Wolfe of Sugar Grove, Illinois; and a brother: Dennis [Diane] Etnyre of Argo Faye, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clara and Howard Etnyre.
