Dale L. Bahr, 71, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at his home. Funeral services for Dale L. Bahr will be 10:30 am Monday, February 16, 2015, at the Church of the Open Bible Address, 408 College Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, February 15th at the Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Dale Leroy Bahr was born January 29, 1944 at his aunt's home in Iowa Falls, Iowa, the son of Harold Edward and Elsie Lorraine [Folks] Bahr. He attended the Buckeye Consolidated School and graduated from the Iowa Falls High School with the class of 1962. On September 19, 1981, Dale was united in marriage to Marlys Jeanne Newton at the Church of the Open Bible, Iowa Falls. To this union two daughters were born: Mandy and Stephanie. Dale farmed southwest of Iowa Falls, Iowa with his two brothers; Jim and Robert for many years. He was a member of the First Church of God, Iowa Falls (serving on the Board of Director's; and past President of that Board) the Buckeye Cooperative Board, as a Hardin County Trustee, and a former member of the Church of the Open Bible (also serving as a board member). He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the Co-op to "catch up on the news," as well as attend his daughters numerous concerts. Dale also loved hunting, fishing, and watching most sports - especially "wrastling" and softball. He and his brothers played on the Buckeye Softball Team for many years. Dale also enjoyed umpiring games of all ages for many years too.

Dale Bahr is survived by his wife: Marlys Bahr of Iowa Falls, Iowa; his daughters: Mandy [Todd] Lauderbaugh of Arcadia, Iowa, Stephanie [Nathan] Super of Iowa Falls, Iowa; two grandchildren: Lily and Noah Super of Iowa Falls; six brothers: Harold [Martha} Bahr, Jr. of Iowa Falls, Robert [Janice] Bahr of Alden, Iowa, James [Linda] Bahr of Iowa Falls, Don [Connie] Bahr of Buckeye, Iowa, Glen [Kay] Bahr of Iowa Falls, Paul Bahr of Iowa Falls; four sisters: Evelyn Ford of Clive, Iowa, Dorothy [Bill] Eldred of Chugiak, Alaska, Phyllis [Vic] Ward of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Connie [Tom] Metzgar of Ackley, Iowa.; two sisters-in-law: Sandy Richardson of Nevada, Iowa, Alice Bahr of Iowa Falls, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Lavonne Richardson; a brother: Eugene Bahr; and two brothers-in-law: Gene Richardson and Jerry Ford.
