Carrie Lynn Garrard, 71, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life for Carrie Garrard will be held Friday, June 26th, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Linn’s Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa, followed by a time of fellowship and remembrance with the family. Carrie Lynn Garrard was born on May 27, 1955, in Livingston, Montana, to George Garrard and Viola Shepard. She attended Sherman E. Burroughs High School in Ridgecrest, California. She worked in the food and retail industries, including Wal-Mart, AmericInn, and Casey’s. Her last employment was at the Red Rooster in Iowa Falls.

Carrie enjoyed the simple things in life and cherished time spent with the people she loved most. In her younger years, she participated in beauty pageants and loved spending time on the water, especially water skiing. She loved staying up late sharing stories and conversations with family and friends. Whether gathered around a fire pit, relaxing by a pool, or spending time with her beloved animals, Carrie found joy in being surrounded by those she cared about. Her faithful dog, Daisy, held a special place in her heart and was a constant source of companionship and love.

Carrie loved her family more than anything, with her grandchildren being the light of her life. She was a free and wild spirit who lived in the moment. Carrie was the foundation and rock of her family.

Carrie is survived by her children: Jennifer (Jose) of Ridgecrest, California; Krystal (Christian) of Ridgecrest, California; Autumn of Iowa Falls, Iowa; and David (Haley) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her grandchildren, Savannah, Shyanne, Joseph, Daisy, Odin, Troy, and Jade; her great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Knoxx, and Miya; and her sister, Janice of Fresno, California.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sheryl.
