Carolyn B. Hoversten 85, of Iowa Falls, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Unity Point Health-Allen Hospital Waterloo. Services for Carolyn Hoversten will be held at a later date. Carolyn B. Boor was born July 1, 1940, to James Ross and Reletta Fern (Wheeler) Boor in Iowa City, Iowa. She attended schools in Osceola, Iowa.

She worked as a Home Interior Decorator until retirement in 2002. Carolyn was known as the garage sale queen of Iowa Falls.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter: Mary Cary of Texarkana, Arkansas; son: Larry Hoversten of Wellsburg, Iowa; sisters: Helen Meyer of Iowa Falls; Aletha Andersen of Williams, Iowa; Marilyn Venner, of Iowa Falls; two grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Reletta Boor; daughter: Teresa Hoversten; sisters: Norma Alderdyce; Nancy Barnhart; brothers: Moris Boor; Gerold Boor; Jack Boor; Richard Boor.
