Aubrey “Chuck” D. Reynolds, 80, of Alden, Iowa passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016  at Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls, Iowa.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Linn’s Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa.  Burial will be at the Buckeye Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Wounded Warrior Project.

 

Aubrey Dean Reynolds was born to Cecil and Margery (Sampsel) Reynolds on March 18, 1935 in Rockwell City, Iowa, where they lived until his parents moved to Wisconsin.  As a young man he joined the U.S. Army in 1951, serving in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954.  He was a member of the American Legion and a V.F.W. life member. After his discharge, he started driving truck for the next 35 years.

 

On November 30, 1974 he married Margaret Schwartz and they made their home in the Alden area.  Chuck was an avid fisherman and shared many trips with his wife camping and trout fishing.  When he retired from trucking he became ill with COPD and spent from 1997 to the present with the disease.

 

He leaves to mourn his wife, Margaret Reynolds, nephew, David (Diane) Schwartz and their families, step-daughter, Laurie (Clay) Miller  of Sioux City, IA, step-grandson, David Miller of Sioux City, IA, step-granddaughter, Rachel (Shane) Plaggemars of Zeeland, MI, step-grandchildren; Olivia Plaggemars, Max Plaggemars, and many friends who knew him and loved his sense of humor.
