Ann Marie (Hulsebus) Thomas

Ann Marie Thomas, 87, of Boone, Iowa, formerly of Iowa Falls, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018, at the Westhaven Community in Boone, Iowa. Memorial services for Ann Marie Thomas will be 10:30 am Saturday, October 20, at the First Christian Church, 221 Fischer Ave, Iowa Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Inurnment will be at the Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls.

Ann Marie Hulsebus was born October 18, 1930, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob and Ida Mae (Sunken) Hulsebus. She attended Iowa Falls Community Schools. In September of 1953, she was united in marriage to Wesley Ivan Elliott, they were later divorced. On December 11, 1976, she was married to George Thomas at The Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. Ann was a nurses aide at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital for many years and a custodian at Riverbend Middle School in Iowa Falls. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Iowa Falls. She enjoyed golf ball hunting and traveling with George.

Ann Marie Thomas is survived by her children Peggy Phipps (Phil) of Stanhope, Iowa, Pat Angstrom (Craig) of Stratford, Iowa, Pam Millard (Vern) of Boone, Iowa, Gary Elliott (Henrietta) of Stanhope, Iowa, and Wesley Elliott Jr. of Stanhope, Iowa, 11 grand children, 34 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and 1 sister Linda Long of Belle Plaine, Iowa. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Jacob and Ida Mae Hulsebus, her husband George Thomas, and her siblings, Ray Hulsebus, Henry Hulsebus, Robert Hulsebus, Jake Hulsebus, Leroy Hulsebus, Joann Collier, Ida Rush, and Christina Parker.
