Wilma Ruth (Schultz) Boelman

     Wilma Boelman, age 89, of Ackley, Iowa passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Funeral services for Wilma Boelman will be 10:30 am Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ; 13607 D Ave.; Wellsburg, Iowa 50680. There will be a time of visitation from 4:00 until 6:00 pm Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel; 903 Cerro Gordo Ave.; Ackley, Iowa 50601. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery in Ackley. Memorials may be directed to Wilma Boelman Memorial; c/o Linn’s Funeral Home; 1521 Washington Ave.; Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126.      Wilma Ruth Schultz was born February 9, 1929 in Butler County, Iowa to  Delbert Charles and Mildred Elizabeth [Coplen] Schultz. She attended Ackley Community Schools, graduating in 1948. On December 1, 1948 she was united in marriage to Calvin William Boelman, and to this union one child was born: Sue Ellen. In Wilma’s earlier years, she had several different jobs that she loved sharing stories about. Later on she worked in the Dietary Department at the Presbyterian Village in Ackley, Iowa, which she enjoyed. She was a member of the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Wellsburg, Iowa.

     Wilma Ruth Boelman is survived by her daughter: Sue [David] Abbas of Ackley, Iowa; two grandchildren: Andie [Travis] Nichols of Evansdale, Iowa and Tara [Damon] Staker of Johnston, Iowa; four great-grandchildren: Bailee, Malloree, Carson, and Berklee; a brother: Larry Schultz of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a sister: Marcia [Mervin] Edeker of Allison, Iowa. Wilma Boelman was preceded in death by her parents: Delbert and Mildred Schultz; and her husband: Calvin Boelman.
