Viola Ellen (Davis) Braga

Viola Ellen Braga, 94, of Ackley, Iowa passed away Monday December 18, 2017 at the Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. Her wishes were to have a private family burial, and the family is honoring those wishes.      Viola Ellen Davis was born February 1, 1923 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Fred D. and Mary Jane [Stage] Davis. She attended the Eldora Community Schools until the 9th grade. On March 4, 1963 she was united in marriage to Arden Eugene Braga in Brighton, Colorado. Ellen Braga had three children from previous marriages: Barbara Moats, Millard Eugene Moats, and Frederick William Ward. She was a loving mother that loved to read, enjoyed cooking, and listened to country music. During her younger years she went bowling and played guitar and sang with Barbara.
     Viola Ellen Braga is survived by here three children: Barbara [Donald] Hardiwick of Conway, Arkansas, Millard Eugene [Shirley] Moats of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Frederick William [Linda] Ward of Lake Mills, Iowa; 17 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Ellen Braga was preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Mary Jane Davis; her husband: Arden Braga; two brothers; James Davis and Leonard L. Davis; and two half-brothers: Earnest Davis and Eugene Davis.
