Victoria Marie Van Heiden, 68, of Steamboat Rock, Iowa passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, Iowa. Funeral services for Victoria Van Heiden will be 11:30 am Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel; 1521 Washington Ave.; Iowa Falls, IA 50126. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:15 am Monday, November 13, 2017, also at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family of Victoria Van Heiden, ℅ Linn’s Funeral Home; 1521 Washington Ave.; Iowa Falls, IA 50126.

 

    Victoria Marie Beal was born March 3, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ross and Lucille [Chin] Beal. She attended Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Richard Van Heiden on June 10, 1995. Victoria worked as an Air Traffic Controller for over 20 years until retirement in 1998. She also owned and managed the Cowboy Way Western Store in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Victoria enjoyed most of her time looking after her family, specifically Rich, gardening, and cooking.

 

    Victoria Van Heiden is survived by her husband: Richard Van Heiden of Steamboat Rock, Iowa; three children: Eric [Shelley] Vanstrom of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Chris [Cristi] Vanstrom of San Diego, California; and Dale [Ona] Van Heiden of Lake Mills, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; niece: Kym Scearce [TD Shenck] of Denver, Colorado; and two nephews: Ty Allen and Trenton [Nina] Allen, both also of Denver. Victoria Van Heiden was preceded in death by her parents: Ross and Lucille Beal; three siblings: Jeri Chambers, Walt & Ed Johnson, and a daughter: Cathy Krausman.
