Miriam Luella (Voigt) Off

     Miriam Off, age 87, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, at the Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Miriam Off will be 11:00 am Friday, January 4, 2019, at the Austinville Christian Reformed Church; 31871 2nd St.; Austinville, Iowa 50608. A time of visitation and fellowship will be from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Thursday, January 3, 2019, at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls.      Miriam Luella Voigt was born November 25, 1931, in Iowa Falls to August Edward and Luella [Nolte] Voigt. She attended the Iowa Falls Community School District graduating in 1950. On August 22, 1950 she was united in marriage to Jacob Off, and to this union three boys were born: Randy, Jim, and Steve. Miriam was an assistant librarian at the Iowa Falls Schools, however most of her life she was a teller at the Iowa Falls State Bank. She was a member of the BPW [Business & Professional Women]. Miriam was also the long time Treasurer at the Meadow Hills Golf Course. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Austinville. They traveled for many years, however they especially loved going to south Texas in the winter. She loved to read in her free time. Miraim was very loving, and she never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was very proud of her Hole-In-One that she got, and held it over her husbands head for many years! However that doesn’t compare to how special and how proud she was of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     Miriam Luella Off is survived by her three sons: Randy [Frances] Off of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Jim [Teri] Off of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Steve [Jody] Off of Des Moines, Iowa; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a sister: Rosemary Rieber of Iowa Falls. Miraim Off was preceded in death by her parents: August and Luella Voigt; her husband: Jacob Off; and three brothers: Lavern Voigt, Kieth Voigt, and Francis Voigt.
