Lucille Jeanette (Willms) Hesnard

     Lucille Hesnard, age 86, of Bradford, Iowa passed away Saturday December 22, 2018 at the Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Lucille Hesnard will be 10:30 am Thursday December 27, 2018 at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls; 1521 Washington Ave.; Iowa Falls, IA 50126. There will be a time of visitation from 4:00 until 6:00 pm Wednesday December 26, 2018 also at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls.      Lucille Jeanette Willms was born October 6, 1932 in Franklin County, Iowa to John L. and Tena W. [Karsjens] Willms. She attended the Bradford School District until the 8th grade. Lucille Willms was married to Edward Eugene Hesnard, and to this marriage five children were born: Gene, Sandy, Jeff, Phil, and Sherrie. Lucille and Edward were later divorced. During Lucille’s life she worked as a CNA at the Heritage Care Center, where she made lots of friends taking care of people there. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Iowa Falls, and she also attended the Bradford Methodist Church in Bradford. To Lucille, her family was the most important part of her life, making sure to have Sunday lunches with san-riches and salads. She retired from the Heritage Care Center.

     Lucille Jeanette Hesnard is survived by her five children: Eugene Hesnard of Woodward, Iowa, Sandra [Frank] Duncan of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Jeffery [Jodi] Hesnard of Bradford, Iowa, Philip Hesnard of Sac City, Iowa, and Cheryl Ireland of Iowa Falls; two sisters and a brother: Theda Reece of Iowa Falls, Ernie [Charlene] Willms of Hampton, Iowa, and Shirley [Bill] Sanders of Bradford; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Lucille Hesnard was preceded in death by her parents: John and Tena Willms; ex-husband: Edward Hesnard; a brother in infancy: Ernie; two brothers and a sister: Albert Willms, Harlan and Tena Willms, and Martha and George Hartema; a daughter-in-law: Sarah Hesnard; and a son-in-law: Jimmie Ireland.
