Linda Kay (Hornung) McWherter

    Linda Kay McWherter, 65, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away Sunday March 4, 2018 at the Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Linda McWherter will be held 11:00 am Friday March 9, 2018 at the First Christian Church of Iowa Falls; 221 Fischer.     Linda Hornung was born to Paul William and Opal Marie [Lyman] Hurnung on December 10, 1952 in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She attended and graduated from the Iowa Falls Community School District. On February 17, 1973 she was united in marriage to Rodney McWherter and to this union three children were born: Pete, Jody, and Jess. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and cooking. Linda had a love of horses from the time she was young and spent time with them when possible. Linda was a loving and  caring person who spent all the time she could with her grandchildren. Linda was a member of the First Christian Church of Iowa Falls.

    Linda Kay McWherter is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Opal Hornung. Linda is survived by her children: Pete McWherter, Jody [Rick] Osterman, Jess [Denelle] McWherter; her grandchildren: Trevor, Braden, Riley, Colby, Caleigh, Cheyenne, Ivy, and Andy; her brothers: John [Julie] Hornung, Steve [Gayle] Hornung; and her sister: Lisa [Jerry] Kaldenberg; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
