     Kenny Kugel, 54, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services for Kenny Kugel will be 10:30 am Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the River’s Edge Church; 204 College; Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. Visitation for Kenny will be from 4:00 until 8:00 pm  Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Linn's Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls; 1521 Washington Ave.; Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. Memorials may be directed to the family: Kenny Kugel Memorial; c/o Linn's Funeral Home; 1521 Washington Avenue; Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. Memorials will be directed to the Riverbed Middle School Band. They will be designated for assisting students in gaining access to instruments, so that others may enjoy music as much as he did.      Kenneth Laverne Kugel Jr. was born December 3, 1962 in Cedar Falls, Iowa to Kenneth Laverne and Karen Ann [DeBoer] Kugel. He attended Waverly-Shellrock High School in Waverly, Iowa, graduating in 1981. Kenny proudly served his country for four years in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Jane Van Heiden on May 21, 1988 at the Little Brown Church. To this union two children were born: Katie and Ariel. Kenny owned and operated Kugel Electric Motors as an electrical motor repair technician. He also had a passion for music, managing and playing in The Mudpuppies Band. Kenny was a member of the Iowa Falls American Legion Hyman-Peavey Post #188, and also attended the River’s Edge Church of Iowa Falls, and the Alden United Church of Christ. 

     Those left to cherish the memory of Kenny Kugel are his wife: Jane Kugel; two daughters: Katie [Blake] Huffman of Grand Forks, North Dakota and Ariel [Steven Venner] Kugel of Alden, Iowa; three grandchildren: Ashton Huffman, and Addison & Sullivan Venner; his mother Karen Kugel of Cedar Falls, Iowa; mother-in-law: Linda Van Heiden of Iowa Falls, Iowa; father-in-law: Jerald [Connie] Van Heiden of Morris, Illinois; siblings: Kevin [Jenni] Kugel of Dysart, Iowa and Kurt [Cindy] Kugel of Waverly, Iowa. Kenny Kugel was preceded in death by his father: Kenneth Kugel Sr., maternal grandparents: Maynard [Alice] DeBoer; and his paternal grandparents: Hank [Dorothy] Kugel.
