We just heard of EJs passing. He was one of our first visitors after moving into our new home in May. EJ was one of the kindest most gentle men I have ever met. His generosity was second to none. We had the pleasure of spending many hours with him talking about his childhood and his late wife. EJ joined our family for Thanksgiving, he so enjoyed playing with all the kids and sharing his memories with everyone. Although we knew him for only a short time he will forever be remembered as a cherished friend. Our prayers go out to his family. RIP EJ ...until we meet again.

I am so sorry to hear of E.J.'s passing. He was a wonderful friend and companion to my mom for many years. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone, friend or stranger!! He had a remedy for everything!! He will be missed by many. R.I.P., E.J.!

We will miss E J ! He came to our little store to buy Anise for his Specken Dicken....and then he would bring us some after it was baked...one time he came, he enjoyed visiting with my elderly mother who was German and raised on Specken Dicken. He was definitely the old fashioned good hearted man and we are privileged to have known him!

Uncle Eilard, I will so miss your visits and sharing a cup of tea with you. To all your family I send my condolences. You were the last member (brother-in-law of Louise Junker) of my Mom's family. Tillie, I want to thank you for all the care you gave. God Bless you. Marie Junker Card Eilderts

I was EJ's neighbor for seven years. We became very close friends. I never had a better neighbor and "friend" anywhere else in this country. I will always remember him and surely miss him very, very much.
