          Edith Marie Sievers was born July 24, 1922 to Jacob Heinrich and Emma Dorothea [Stamp] Sievers in Erfde, Germany. She graduated from Omaha Nebraska South High. On January 16, 1946 she was united in marriage in Omaha, Nebraska to Charles C. Bowman. To this union two children were born: Kathryn "Kay" and Charles "Chas". In 1961 Charles "Tiny" Bowman passed away. She was united in marriage to Stanton LeMoind on February 15, 1964 in Omaha. During her life Edith worked in Omaha as a clerk at J.C. Penney and Woodman of the World Insurance. After Edith and Charles got married she moved to Eldora, Iowa where she ran the popcorn stand for many years. After Charles' death she worked at Infanseat in Eldora. After Edith and Stan got married she moved to Iowa Falls and she became a reporter for the Marshalltown Times-Republican newspaper, reporting on Hardin county news. She became a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Church Circle and a long time lecturer of 20 years for the Weight Watchers club in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She was also a member of the Legion Auxilliary, Business and Professional Women's Club and the Progress Club and the Iowa Falls Women's Club [Garden Club].

          Those left to cherish the memory's of Edith LeMoind are her two children: Kathryn Crowley of Des Moines, Iowa and Charles S. Bowman of Central City, Iowa; and two grandchildren: Tammy [Corey] Ross and Chris Crowley both of Des Moines. Edith LeMoind was preceded in death by her parents: Jacob and Emma Sievers; her two husbands: Charles C. Bowman and Stanton LeMoind; two brothers: Hans H. Sievers and H.W. [Ben] Sievers; and one granddaughter: Abby Bowman.
