Duane Leo Bearman

     Duane Leo Bearman, age 69, of Ackley, Iowa passed away Friday, January 18, 2019, at his home. Funeral services for Duane will be 11:00 Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Open Bible Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa. A time of fellowship and celebration of his life will be from 4:00 until 6:00 pm Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Linn’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls. Burial will be at a later date.      Duane Leo Bearman was born March 19, 1949 to Leo Louis and Lucille Hilda [Meier] Bearman in New Hampton, Iowa. He attended the Tripoli Community School District, graduating in 1967.  Immediately after he joined the Navy, and was in until 1971. He later attended both the Hawkeye Institute of Technology and the North East Iowa Community College, both of these were for certification in heating and air condition and continuing education in this field. He had four children born: Mari, Jeni, Darren, and Laura. During most of his life he worked at John Deere on the line, eventually retiring from there. A large accomplishment in his life was being a proud member of A.A. [Alcoholics Anonymous] for 35 years. Duane was a member of the Open Bible Church in Iowa Falls. He loved fishing and hunting, but especially enjoyed his grandkids, and just plain life in general.

     Duane Leo Bearman is survived by his wife: Regina Bearman of Ackley, Iowa; four children: Mari [T.J.] Stanfield of Plankinton, South Dakota, Jeni [Nyle] Wilhau of Grundy Center, Iowa, Darren Bearman of Ackley, and Laura [Steve] Clemen of Waterloo, Iowa; nine grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a brother: James [Mary Ann] Bearman of Eatonon, Georgia. Duane Bearman is preceded in death by his parents: Leo and Lucille Bearman.
