Donald Dean Schwebke was born August 2, 1929 at his family farm in rural  Hardin County near Eldora to Arthur August William and Opal Leona [Sheldon] Schwebke. He attended country school as a boy until the eighth grade. Donald first worked as a farmer, and later as a truck driver. He was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Kiley and to this union four children were born: Micheal, Dennis, Kevin, and Marcella. They were later divorced. He was later married to Mary Ann, where he adopted her children: Douglas and Tania. Later in life he went to work at the Hampton Airport as the airport manager and flight instructor, however his primary job was spraying crops as a crop duster in the area. After retirement, Donald moved up to northern Minnesota, where he truly had his best time, as he loved the outdoors. Every day he was fishing, hunting, or enjoying nature, and spending time with his best friend “Bo” a black lab.

Those left to cherish Donald Schwebke’s memories are his six children: Micheal Douglas [Sue] Schwebke of Deer River, Minnesota, Dennis Craig [Joyce] Schwebke of Anamosa, Iowa, Kevin Dean [Rochelle] Schwebke of Bradford, Iowa, Marcella Ann Pedersen of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Douglas [Dawn] Schwebke of Des Moines, Iowa and Tania Sprague of Peoria, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Donald Schwebke has gone on to be with his parents: Arthur and Opal Schwebke; two brothers: Kieth Schwebke and Kenny Schwebke; one son-in-law: Craig Sprague; and a grandaughter: Stephanie Jean Schwebke.
