Robert [Bob] Albert Larson, 95, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, formerly a long time resident of Chicago, Illinois passed away at Grand JiVante Nursing Home in Ackley, Iowa on Monday, November 09, 2015. Memorial services for Robert Larson will be Friday, November 13, 2015 at 3:00pm at the Linn's Funeral Home Chapel; 1521 Washington Ave., Iowa Falls. A time of visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Linn's Funeral Home Chapel in Iowa Falls. Robert Albert Larson was born September 11, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to Albert John and Esther [Anderson] Larson. He graduated from Schurz High School in Chicago. He attended Chicago Institute of Technology in Chicago. He attended the Lutheran Church in the area. He married Delores Pfeiffer in May, 1950. To this union they had one son: Gary Robert Larson Sr. During his life he was an electronical engineer, mostly as a Chief Mechanical Design Engineer at A.B. Dick where he retired in 1985. During this time he also joined the United States Marine Corps from September of 1943 until April of 1946. During which time he was at Pearl Harbor during the attack. One of his favorite past times after retirement was golfing. He also enjoyed fixing things and spending time with his family.

Robert Albert Larson is survived by his son: Gary Robert Larson Sr. of Iowa Falls, Iowa; 3 grandchildren: Gary Robert Larson Jr., Daniel Irvin Robert Larson, and Heather Rose Larson-Schrandt all from Iowa Falls; and 6 great-grandchildren. Robert Larson was preceded in death by his parents: John Albert Larson and Esther [Anderson] Larson; and one sister: Ruth Larson.
