Marlys Iola (Meyer) Rodamaker

Marlys Iola Rodamaker [Meyer], 66, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away October 12, 2016 at her home in Iowa Falls. A memorial service will held 1:00 pm, Tuesday October 18, 2016 at the Linn's Funeral Home Chapel; 1521 Washington; Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Monday October 17, 2016, also at the Linn's Funeral Home Chapel. Marlys Iola Meyer was born on December 29, 1949 to Lawrence Henry and Iola Lorene [Radabaugh] Meyer in Hampton, Iowa.  She attended grade school in Latimer and graduated from Alden High School in 1968. She married Jerald Rodamaker in 1968 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Latimer. To this union, three sons were born: Russell, Tony, and Jeremy. She later divorced and attended Ellsworth Community College, graduating with an Associates of Applied Science degree. She was a lab technician at USDA in Ames, Iowa for more than 20 years. Her hobbies included completing puzzles and reading.

Those left to cherish Marlys Iola Rodamaker are her children: Russell [Mindy] Rodamaker of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Tony Rodamaker of Leon, Iowa, and Jeremy [Ashley] Rodamaker of Alden, Iowa; three brothers: Larry Meyer of Blairsburg, Iowa, Darrel [Nancy] Meyer of Alden, and Gary [Joyce] Meyer of Alden; and also nine grandchildren. Marlys Iola Rodamaker was preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence and Iola Meyer; and several aunts and uncles.
