" Corky " Jutting - April 28, 2005

Corky Jutting, 73, of Iowa Falls, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2005, at the Heritage Care Center, Iowa Falls. A private family funeral service for Corky Jutting was held at 11:00 am Monday, May 2, 2005, at the Linn's Funeral Chapel, Iowa Falls. Burial followed at the Northlawn Memory Gardens, Iowa Falls. Charles Junior “ Corky “ Jutting was born June 13, 1931, at Clear Lake, South Dakota, the son of Herman Rensko and Elsie Tillie [Stauffacher] Jutting. He attended the Clear Lake South Dakota Community Schools. In 1949 he moved to Waterloo, Iowa and worked for the Rath Packing Company and later for Welden Brothers Construction and Smith Gehrls Construction, both of Iowa Falls, Iowa, retiring in 1996. He operated a camp ground for several years north of Hampton, Iowa, and enjoyed making and selling his woodcraft wears.

On October 31, 1950, he was united in marriage to Eunice May Shomshor at Waterloo, Iowa. To this union three children were born: Janet, Sherilyn, and Curtis. It should be noted that besides his family he loved Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolets.

Corky Jutting is survived by his wife of 312 School Street, Iowa Falls; his two daughters: Janet Murillo and husband John of West Des Moines, Iowa, Sherilyn Everman of Ackley, Iowa; one son: Curtis Jutting and wife Brenda of Newton, Iowa; five grandchildren: Michaelle Boetger and husband Jeremy of Decorah, Iowa, Robert Boyd of Cummings, Iowa, Matt Boyd of Iowa City, Iowa, Calvin Jutting of Newton, and Brock Jutting of Newton; three great grandchildren: Kristine Lynn Boyd of Carlisle, Iowa Logan Boyd of Cummings, Iowa, and Landon Jutting of Newton, Iowa; two brothers: Harold Jutting of Waterloo, Iowa, Herman Jutting of Watertown, South Dakota; and five sisters: Berdyna Rook of Estelline, South Dakota, Lois Sprau of Watertown, South Dakota, Violet Engles of Watertown, Helen Stavick of Watertown; and one half-sister: Vera Cordova of Watertown. He was preceded in death by his parents: Herman and Elsie Jutting; one grand daughter: Kristina Renae Boyd; and two brothers: Melvin Jutting and Eddie Lee Jutting; and six brothers-in-law.

Eva Marie Bahr Wright - April 26, 2005

Eva Marie Wright, 95, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Tuesday at the Heritage Care Center, Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Eva Marie Wright will be 10:30 am Friday at the First Christian Church, Iowa Falls. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday evening at the Linn’s Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel, who has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Eva Marie Bahr was born March 7, 1910, on the family farm near Hubbard, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Mary Ann [Smuck] Bahr. She attended the Buckeye, Iowa, Schools graduating with the class of 1926. She then attended the Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls, Iowa receiving her teaching certificate. She taught school in rural Ellis Township south of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and was also a secretary for Grahams Department Store, Iowa Falls.. She was first married to Ward Schultz but he passed away of pneumonia in 1938. On May 24, 1940 she was united in marriage to Lester Fenton Wright at Mason City, Iowa. To this union one son was born: Dennis. They farmed near Bradford, Iowa for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Iowa Falls, and a former member of the First Christian Church, Hampton, Iowa, and taught Sunday school for 28 years, and served with the Christian Women’s Fellowship of both churches. She was also a member of Park School PTA and the Hampton Women’s Club.

Eva Marie Wright is survived by her son: Dennis Wright and his wife Vicki of Monroe, Iowa; and one grandson: Ryan Wright and wife Jenny of Monroe, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Ward Schultz and Lester Wright; her parents: Paul and Mary Bahr; one sister: Faye Ingebritson; and three brothers: Clarence Bahr, Alvie Bahr, and Harry Bahr.

Robert Barrett Carson - April 23, 2005

Robert Carson, 77, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Scenic Manor, Iowa Falls. A visitation for Robert Carson will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 26th at the Linn’s Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at the Chariton Cemetery, Chariton, Iowa.

Robert Barrett Carson was born November 16, 1927, in Lucas County, Iowa, the son of John Maurice and Emma [Chamberlain] Carson. He attended the Chariton Community Schools graduating with the class of 1947. He was united in marriage to Wilma June Jones on September 8, 1946 at Troy, Kansas. He had been employed most of his life in sales with Gulf Oil Company and lastly with Iowa Realty.

Bob Carson is survived by his wife: Wilma J. Carson of Iowa Falls; one son: R. Michael Carson and wife Carolyn of Iowa Falls, one daughter: Sherry L. Jaco and husband Thomas of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren: Ryan and Amy Carson of Iowa Falls, Tyler Carson of Des Moines, Iowa, Lindsey Jaco of Winston Salem, North Carolina; and one sister: Kay Steinbach and husband Leo of Chariton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Emma Carson.
